Design-Bid-Build Middle School
Fiegen Construction was selected as the General Contractor on this new 190,000 square foot Middle School on the East side of Sioux Falls, SD. Ben Reifel Middle School was built in 24 months with coordination of trades being a key component allowing the school to be completed in time for the new school year.
Many unique features highlighted the new school including a lunchroom space and library with full height glazing, as well as a performing arts theater with suspended wood baffles. Arched trusses across the corridor space give an open feel to the school, allowing the maximum amount of natural light into the space.
