Along with nearly 300 business and community leaders in Sioux Falls, we had the chance to hear from Bender Commercial at the annual “Market Outlook” event on March 2nd. While the event always provides valuable information and interesting takeaways, the theme that hit home most to me was, “while economic uncertainty plagues markets across the world, there’s no better place to face these challenges than right here in South Dakota.”
That sentiment is as true today as it’s ever been and as we turn the chapter on the first quarter of 2023, Fiegen Construction is positioned well for a great year. As we count our blessings today and in the months ahead, we’re especially grateful for the following:
- Fiegen is on track to have one of our busiest years yet. Our work is not limited to one or two industries, with projects in healthcare, education, athletics, manufacturing and more.
- Fiegen hosted our 3rd annual “What We’re Building” employee rally. With our largest turnout yet (more than 100 people), we focused on training while creating a fun atmosphere for our employees and their families with a gameshow theme and prizes.
- The Fiegen team is as strong as we could hope with more young, talented people joining now through the start of summer. Like we’ve done in years past, our team relies on the Build Dakota program to bring in some top talent in areas we need most.
I know we’re all excited to thaw out and if you’re like me, you can’t wait for Spring and Summer to arrive. On the bright side, any fears of a drought seem to have subsided, and all the lakes should be full. The thought of warmer days ahead and a busy workload provides our team with a great deal of excitement, and we look forward to the rest of 2023.
Cheers to you and yours!
