Construction has begun on the new, 10,000-square-foot Sanford Clinic in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Following a groundbreaking ceremony on March 23, Fiegen Construction crews began site work in preparation for the multi-specialty medical facility. Project Superintendent Jayd Borman and Project Manager John Schaefer are working closely with Sanford Health and Architecture, Inc. to complete the clinic by Spring 2019.
Located at the corner of Highway 9 and Buncombe Road, the clinic will offer family medicine and urgent care services, as well as OB-GYN, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, laboratory, and radiology. The facility will also provide outreach services including mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, cardiology, general surgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedics. The clinic will be served by two doctors and three certified physician assistants who will operate within 10 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, x-ray and CT areas, stress laboratory, tele-health space, pharmacy, therapy office, and waiting area.
“This new multi-specialty clinic will be convenient for our patients in Lyon County,” states Vice President of Operations for Sanford Health Network Eric Hilmoe. “Sanford has been providing care in Lyon County since 1992 and this facility demonstrates our ongoing commitment to health care in the community.”
The new clinic will mirror the outdoor features of the Sanford Health facilities in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, including a central tower and a combination of brick and stucco exterior finishes. Stay tuned for project updates as construction continues through Spring 2019.
